We would like to announce the arrival of three beautiful girls, born via c-section on Thursday afternoon. As Sashillie Poppy (pet name: Déjà) was showing no signs of whelping on her due date, we decided to go with our instincts and take her to the vet for a check-up.
After an ultrasound and progesterone test, we decided not to risk a home whelp and trusted our experienced vets Inverell Vet Clinic with Déjà's c-section.
By Thursday evening, we were able to welcome Déjà and her gorgeous puppies home and into our whelping room.
They have been feeding happily off Déjà who has shown us her amazing motherly instincts. She has done such a fantastic job with them and continues to make us proud as the days tick by quickly.
Although Dante is yet to see his offspring, we've shown him some photos and he is one proud dad. Stay tuned for updates as these little ones grow.
